About Us
NORthern CALifornia Transplant Support is a group of multi-organ pre and post-transplant recipients, which now includes transplants of liver, kidney, heart, lung and other organs was established in 1991, under the name Sacramento Area Liver Transplant Support group, as a self-help support organization by Ann Linnekins. Participants are transplant recipients and family members or caregivers of the pre and post- transplant patient.
We know there are questions you have about what is happening to you, your family, as well as your future. We're not professionals, but we are people just like you who have been through what you are going through. We can listen to you, speak on the subject, and offer encouragement and suggestions to give you HOPE.

Promote Awareness of organ and a tissue donation as an important social responsibility.
Provide Support to transplant candidates, recipients and their families to help alleviate the stress and problems associated with the transplant process.
Promote Education of transplant candidates, recipients, their families, and donor’s families as well as provide current information on developments in organ and tissue donation, transplantation, medications, social issues, and finances.
Provide Advocacy for the concerns and needs that affect the welfare of transplant candidates, recipients, and their families and donor families.

This website is meant as an information resource for transplant patients. It strives to be a repository of references to and information from our meetings, other transplant support groups or organizations, and websites which our members have found helpful or informative in the past. It is NOT meant to replace your personal professional care team of doctors and other medical support resources identified by them for your individual medical profile and needs.
